This tour is about exploring the unexplored area of Zanskar, While Driving the Maruti Gypsy 4X4/SUV vehicle.

Zanskar which means Land Of White Copper is famous for its rich
Culture, ancient Monastery, Forts and beautiful valleys and mountains. Zanskar was one
of the least connected areas of India . Zanskar district HQ kargil is also 12 hours journey
from Subdivision Padum and 24-30 hrs journey from Leh. A new road has opened up for
Zanskar which connects Himachal Lahaul valley and Zanskar Via Shinkula. Road is one
of the most challenging and adventurous roads which was opened for civilians in 2019
after the construction of Purne Bridge.We would like you people to experience this
adventure, to explore ancient monasteries and to experience the local lifestyle as well .

Booking Confirmation Policy

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking.
This is a non transferable voucher
In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email. In such case alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.

Advise

It is always advised to offload your backpack at the base camp or base village and carry only the essentials with you to trek. Keep your baggage to a minimum, otherwise, your body will start rebelling within the very first hour of the trek.

Our Tour will start from Delhi with the overnight Journey to Manali from Delhi Via Volvo

Day 1-Manali Arrival

Manali Arrival, after arrival at the Volvo Bus stand. Taxi will take you to the hotel . Today we will go for a small hike up to jogini waterfall or Lama Dugh. This will help us in getting acclimatized for our expedition to the land of white copper.

Day 2-Manali to Gombo rangjon (5-6 hours of travel time)

We will head towards the Lahaul valley via the Rohtang tunnel, after entering the Lahaul valley we will rnake a srnall stop at Sissu Lake and then head forward. Lunch will be at Jipsa village and night stay will be camping at Gombo Rangjon. This was the night halt point for traders who used to travel via foot to sell their product in the Valley. After shinkula we will be
entering the famous Zanskar Valley. This day will be of water crossing. So we need to get our waterproof gear ready. Night stay will be right next to the famous Mountain Gonbo Rangjon which is a great spiritual valley to the local people as you can see the impression of the great Guru Rinponche.

Day 3- Gonbo Rangoon to Prune(3-4 hours of travel time )

After breakfast we will head toward the purne village where we will stay for a night. The purne village is also the start point for the hike towards the famous monastery in Zanskar Phuktal monastery. Purne is
the sangam of the river coming from sarchu and the one coming for shikula they meet
here is later called zanskar river. We would be camping right next to the local people and
would be interacting about their daily lifestyle .

Day 4-Purne to Phugtal Monastery and back (hike 3-4 hours )

We will be starting our hike from the purne camp site to the monastery . This will be a
little challenging hike up to the moenstary . lunch will be at the monastery and after
spending a few hours at the monastery weil be heading back to the campsite at
purne.

Day 5-Purne to Padum (3-4 hours travel time )

Today we will be heading towards the Sub Division HQ of zanskar padum. On the way we
will be visiting another monastery Bardan monastery which is famous for its ancient
artifacts. On arrival at Padum we will be staying at a homestay and we will be trying the
local food and beer.

Day 6- Padum Local sightseeing

Tody we will be visiting the so of the famous Gompa ( monestary ) around padum , sani
lake and sheela waterfall. We will also be visiting a local house exploring local lively
hood and the Padum Market

Day 7-Padum to penzila to padum (4-5 hours travel time)

After breakfast we will head toward to see the famous drang drung glacier for that we
have to go upto the Penzila pass on padum kargil road. Later we return back to padum

Day 8-Padum to Manali (7-8 hours of travel time time)

Your trek fee includes

1. Accommodation – Stay from Day 1 to Day 7 (Manali to Jispa). ( Homestay/ Hotel/Tent sharing basis).
2. Meals – Breakfast, & Dinner. We provide simple, nutritious vegetarian food on all days.
3. Transport – 4×4 vehicle Manali Pick up and drop. Delhi Pick Up in Volvo. Fuel Inclusive.
4. Camping charges – All camping charges are included.
5. Experienced Guide.
6. Trekking equipment – Sanitised Tents, sleeping bags, Sleeping mats, Crampons & Gaiters (if required).
7. Safety equipment – First aid, medical kit, Oxygen Cylinder will be available at campsite to deal with emergencies.
8. Helper Staff.
9. Sanitary – Dry-toilet with camp on trek, Sanitizer, Handwash.

Your trek fee does not include

1. Meals – Lunch, For Non-Veg food prior intimation will be required on pay basis.(4 days prior to trek booking intimation required)
