Bali Pass Trek

Bali Pass Trek is one of the unusual, Uncrowded trekking destinations in Uttrakhand that goes through the famous places of the Himalayas Yamunotri, Har ki Doon valley then Ruinsara lake.

Bali Pass a not so popular trek. Surprisingly, it goes along the famous places of the Himalayas. Known for direct spectacles of Swargrohini and Bandarpoonch peaks, this trek is literally a stairway to heaven. Not many know that this pass connects Har ki Doon and Ruinsara valley. As high as 16,207 ft this pass is a difficult trek offering the raw adventures. Not only that summit itself is small that can fit only 20-30 people. The pass offers a 360-degree view of Swargarohini, Banderpooch and Garhwal peaks.

How to Reach

By Air :-

Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun.

 

By Train :-
Take the overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi
• Nandadevi Express – Train no: 12205 (Departure 11:50pm; Arrival – 5:40am).
• Dehradun Express – Train no: 12687 (Departure – 9:10pm; Arrival – 5:00am).

 

By Bus :-
There is regular bus service from Delhi to Dehradun, from Delhi’s ISBT Kashmere Gate.
We would suggest you to take only government buses from ISBT Kashmere Gate.
Usually buses drop you at Dehradun ISBT. From there you have to come to Dehradun Railway Station
• Four Wheeler will pick-up you from Dehradun Railway Station.
• Pick-up is included in the cost of the trek.
• You will reach Sankri by 5:00 pm/ depends on Pick up time.
• Food from dehradun to Sankri is not included in the trek cost.

Trek /Tour fee Payment:
The fee can be paid by online by payment gateway/UPI Transfer. When your transfer is done, please share us a Snapshot of Transaction ID with your transfer details, so that we can follow up your reservation efficiently on what’s app/mail.

 Refund Policy

  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
  • All applicable refunds will be done in original payment mode used to made payment.

Booking Confirmation Policy

  • The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking.
  • This is a non transferable voucher
  • In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email. In such case alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.

Advise

It is always advised to offload your backpack at the base camp or base village and carry only the essentials with you to trek. Keep your baggage to a minimum, otherwise, your body will start rebelling within the very first hour of the trek.

Day 1-Dehradun to Sankri Village ( Four Wheeler)

Meet us early in the morning at Dehradun. From here we will start the scenic drive to our base camp set up at Sankri, located at an altitude of 6,400 ft. During the drive, you will pass through the beautiful places like Mussoorie, Naitwar and many more. It will be the picturesque drive of a lifetime to reach base camp. Also throughout the drive, you will feel nature with you along with the beautiful landscape and fragrance of pinewood and Himalayan flora and fauna. The drive will take around 7-8 hours to complete.

Upon reaching, you can check-in at your hotel/homestay/camping and drop your luggage before heading out for a stroll through the quaint little hamlet Sankri. This is a small Himalayan hamlet full of natural richness.

You will spend the night in the tents or in village Homestay/Hotel.

Day 2-From Sankri to Taluka Drive 12KM, afterthat trek to Seema (Height 6,400 feet to 8,399 feet | Distance 12 KM)

After breakfast this morning, you will taken to Taluka through four wheeler adn from Taluka we will trek to the Seema.

Trail take you through thick forests of chestnuts, walnuts, willows, chinars and conifer trees. You will find a few waterfalls on the way. You could either opt for the steep climb of Dhaatmeer village or just trek along the Karmanasha stream. Both the routes meet at Gangaar village. However, leave this decision to your trek leader and try to stick with group. Reach Seema Campsite by late afternoon.

Day 3- From Seema to Roiltia or Waterfall camping.( Height 8,399 feet to 10,990 feet | Distance 10 KM)

Today also, the trek is along the Supin river. First milestone is Debshu Bugyal, from where we will get a magnificent view of Kala Nag or Black Peak. After crossing Debshu Bugyal, we will descend through the forest with loose stones and sandy path to the river. We will cross the Supin river through a bridge. After crossing the bridge, we will again ascend with the Supin river flowing now on our right. There are a couple of tricky sections with slippery path where we might have to take a diversion. Trek along the river until we reach our campsite, which is by the side of the river. Overnight stay in Camps.

Day 4-Roiltia to Ruinsara Lake. ( Height 10,990 feet to 11,800 feet | Distance 7 KM)

This will be our last day when we walk along the Supin river. Today we will reach Ruinsara Tal by afternoon. Ruinsara is a lovely lake surrounded by meadows and rhododendron bushes. The trail is not difficult but it is tiring. The campsite is beautiful. On one side of our camps is tiny lake of Ruinsara and on the other side is Supin River. The view from the campsite is mesmerising. On the south-west of Ruinsara Tal is Yamuna Kanta, the pass which takes you to Yamunotri and is rated as a difficult trek. To the east is the majestic Banderpooch Peak (6,387 m). The views of Dhumdhar Kandi (5,873 m) to the east, and Kala Nag (6,387m) and White Peak (6,102m) to the south-east are spectacular.

Day 5-Ruisara Lake to Odari. ( Height 11,800 feet to 13,100 feet| Distance 4 KM)

Today is a short and easy trek of about 4 km. Initially we descend down to Supin river through the dense vegetation. Crossing the river through a bridge, we will then ascend to a small meadow and then head south east along the river. After a trek of 3 kms or so the trail meanders towards south west. Walking for a kilometre from here brings us to our campsite Odari. Odari means a naturally made rock cave. According to folklore, it is believed that Bali (Hanuman’s brother) stayed in this cave for one night. The views from the campsite are spectacular. In the North East we will have the crystal clear view of mighty peaks of Swargarohini 1 & 2. In the later half of the day the learning sessions will be conducted for the participants on techniques that might be of use in the coming days.

Day 6-Odari to Upper Dhamni via Bali Pass. ( Height 13,100 feet to 16,076 feet| Distance 15 KM)

The day starts with a short hike south west to the base camp, but this hike would not be an easy one. We will have to walk on a mountain ridge with a 60 degree incline full of loose stones. This day is critical as we will be camping at an higher altutude. It is important to keep yourself active & hydrated to avoid chances of getting AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). The temperature can drop to subzero levels increasing the difficulty many folds. Acclimatisation also takes longer at such heights. Overnight stay in camps.

Day 7-Upper Dhamni to Yamunotri to Jaan ki Chatti. ( Height 16,076 feet to 8,500 feet| Distance 15 KM)

This will be our last day of trek. Initial trail is through forest which then merges into a cemented path. After reaching Yamunotri, you may take a dip in the Sulphur hot water springs of Yamnotri. Bathing in the hot water springs will take away the pain in your legs. From the shrine of Yamunotri we will take the regular pilgrims route to Jaan Ki Chatti.

Overnight Stay in Jaan ki Chatti.

Day 8-Jaan ki Chatti to Dehradun. ( Four Wheeler Drive, Distance 170 KM)

The participants leave from Janki Chatti to Dehradun. Those who opt for transport with with us, they assemble at 7 am and leave for Dheradun. Participants who do not opt for transport with us can take a shared cab from the taxi stand.

  • 1. Accommodation – Stay from Day 1 to Day 7 (Sankri to Jaan Ki Chatti). ( Homestay/ Hotel/Tent sharing basis).
  • 2. Meals – Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks & Dinner. We provide simple, nutritious vegetarian food on all days.
  • 3. Transport -Dehradun Pick up and drop.
  • 4. Camping charges – All camping charges are included.
  • 5. Experienced Guide.
  • 6. Trekking equipment – Sanitised Tents, sleeping bags, Sleeping mats, Crampons & Gaiters (if required).
  • 7. Safety equipment – First aid, medical kit, will be available at campsite to deal with emergencies.
  • 8. Helper Staff.
  • 9. Sanitary – Dry-toilet with camp on trek, Sanitizer, Handwash.
  • 10. Free Parking for Private Vehicle.

Your trek fee does not include

  • 1. Meals – For Non-Veg food prior intimation will be required on pay basis.(4 days prior to trek booking intimation required)
  • 2. Backpack offloading charges.
  • 3. Anything apart from inclusions.
  • 4. Any kind of personal expenses.
  • 5. Any kind of Insurance.
  • 6. Mules or porter to carry personal luggage.
  • 7. Any kind of emergency evacuation charges.
